Art Consultant

To be successful in our fine art gallery, you must be dynamic & self motivated. Candidates must have excellent people skills, an eye for design, an upbeat and professional demeanor with a desire to help our clients build their art collections and/or personalize their homes and offices with art.

As an Art Consultant, you will build relationships with clients and become knowledgeable of and enthusiastic about our art collection. You must be willing to proactively grow and maintain client relationships. When you are not welcoming walk-in clients, you are cultivating new relationships. We will educate you about the artists and artwork in our collection and about our fine art sales philosophy.

Successful candidates have the ability to work independently, multi-task and take on a high level of ownership, accountability and initiative. We value a winning personality over experience and will train the right person.

Gallery Assistant

To be successful in our busy fine art gallery, you must be detail oriented and self motivated with exceptional organizational skills. Ideal candidate must be a problem-solver, ability to multi-task, good with numbers and able to work well both independently and on a team. We expect that you will charismatically interact with our clientele and artists while assisting the gallery owners and sales staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with gallery operations
  • Database management and data input for purchase orders
  • Track and coordinate shipping
  • Artist correspondence
  • Answer phones and scheduling
  • Special Projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficiency in PC and Mac programs including MS Office, Pages and Numbers
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong data entry skills & ability to analyze data accurately
  • Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, along with listening skills

Art Handler/Installer/Driver

Art Handler/Installer/Driver is responsible for the proper handling, loading, unloading, wrapping and transport of artwork in our fast paced art gallery. Other responsibilities include assisting in hanging the gallery, setting up for events, handling & installing artwork on home/office appointments and preparing artwork for inter-gallery transfers.

Successful candidates must be self-motivated with a high level of ownership and initiative. Must be a team player with an upbeat and professional attitude. Must have an excellent/clean driving record and be able to pass D.O.T. medical exam. Carpentry skills are a plus. Must be able to lift 100lbs. If you are eager to learn, we will teach you the skills necessary to be successful!

Art Photo Editor/Art Handler

We are looking for an Art Photo Editor and Art Handler who will be responsible for photographing artwork and color correcting artwork photographs in Photoshop for accurate representation. The position also includes handling and transporting artwork, assisting on gallery appointments when needed, and other special projects.

Requirements:

  • Advanced photo editing skills in Adobe Creative Suite/Photoshop
  • Expertise in artwork photography, with emphasis on portraying colors true-to-life
  • Artistic eye
  • Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, along with listening skills
  • High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
  • Reliable transportation to travel between gallery locations as needed

Gallery Sales Assistant

We are seeking detail oriented, self motivated team members for our Haverford fine art gallery. To be successful you are warm and engaging with an enthusiasm for art! You will charismatically interact with our clientele while assisting our art consultants. An art background is not required.  We will educate you about the artists & artwork in our collection and custom framing.

Responsibilities include assisting art consultants with all aspects of the sale process, working with clients as needed, assisting with custom framing projects, general gallery upkeep and hanging, and scheduling.

Custom Picture Framer

We are looking for an experienced custom framer for our well-established and fast-paced frame shop.

Qualified applicants will identify as self-motivated, skillful, and upbeat, with a rock solid work ethic and a critical eye for detail. You have a deep respect for artwork and know how to handle it with the utmost care. Experience working in a picture frame shop and retail custom framing design experience are required.

Position responsibilities include but not limited to:
Engaging in design consultations with discerning clientele, mat cutting, mounting of artwork, frame cutting/joining, final assembly and completion of frames.
